The JetBlue Flight Attendant - Hero or Criminal?
Your Two Cents!

A JetBlue flight attendant who got into an altercation with a passenger, then grabbed a couple of beers and slid off a plane through the escape chute has been released on bail. Steven Slater left a Bronx detention center Tuesday night and said he was grateful for the growing support he is receiving.

He was charged with criminal mischief, reckless endangerment and criminal trespass after he had an altercation with a passenger who retrieved a bag from the overhead bin while the plane was still taxiing. Passengers are required to stay in their seats with their seat belts fastened until the pilot has reached the gate and gives the all-clear sign. Slater asked the passenger to sit down, but the passenger continued to remove the bag, which struck Slater in the head. Slater asked for an apology, and the passenger refused and cursed at him. That's when Slater got on the plane's public address system and said, "To the passenger who just called me a motherf-----: f--- you. I've been in this business 28 years, and I've had it." When the plane stopped at the gate, Slater grabbed some beer from the beverage cart before deploying the emergency slide and leaving.

The second-degree criminal mischief and the first-degree reckless endangerment charges are felonies that could land Slater in jail for seven years if convicted, authorities said. The criminal trespass charge and two other lesser mischief and endangerment charges are misdemeanors.

Slater is being hailed as a hero by many for taking a stand against rude behavior.

Question: Do you think Slater deserves jail time for what he did?

Terminally Ill or Not?
Your Two Cents!

There has been much discussion over the past few weeks about Scotland's decision to return convicted Lockerbie bomber Abdel Basset Ali al-Megrahi to Libya because of a terminal illness. Now, there is evidence that the Scottish medical experts who made the decision lacked a consensus on the state of his condition.

"It was a scam ... Release his medical records and prove me wrong," says Eileen Walsh, whose father, brother and pregnant sister all died on Pan Am Flight 103.

Question: Do you think it was right for the Scottish government to return Abdel Basset Ali al-Megrahi to his Libyan homeland?

Tax Cuts for the Wealthy
Your Two Cents!
With Bush's tax cuts for the wealthy set to expire in January, it is guaranteed that the airwaves will be dominated by politicians talking about whether these tax cuts should be allowed to expired or if they should remain in place. George W. Bush's 2001 tax cut was a huge windfall for the wealthy. About 40 percent of its benefits went to the tiny sliver of Americans earning over $500,000.

There are strong feelings on both sides about the issue. Democrats believe that the tax cuts should expire allowing the top earners to be taxed at a higher rate which would generate about $1 trillion for the national deficit over the next 10 years. On the other hand, Republicans want the cuts to remain in place because they don't like raising taxes on anyone and they argue that raising them on the well-off will slow economic growth and give people at the top less incentive to work hard, invest, and invent.

Question: Do you think that the Bush tax cuts should be allowed to expire in January or should they remain in place?

The Challenges of Inter-Faith Marriages
Your Two Cents!
This past weekend, former First Daughter Chelsea Clinton wed her longtime boyfriend Marc Mezvinsky in a lavish inter-faith ceremony (Clinton is Methodist and Mezvinsky is Jewish). While society is much more accepting of these marriages than in the past, experts warn of the perils of inter-faith marriages including raising children and celebrating holidays.

Question: What do you think about inter-faith marriages and in this era of high divorce rates, do inter-faith couples have more obstacles stacked against them?

There is much speculation about who will land in this coveted seat from Steven Tyler to J.Lo to Chris Isaak to Jessica Simpson. We want to know what you think...

Question: Who do you think would be the best choice to be the new American Idol judge?
