"I Can Make You Thin"

Disclaimer: This is not a diet.  We believe what the facts tell us: 90 percent of diets fail.

So that’s why we were elated to catch British sensation Paul McKenna make his American Television debut on The Learning Channel (TLC).  His show, I Can Make You Thin, is a reality series that’s on every Sunday night at 9/8c. The first of the five-part series premiered on March 16th.

McKenna isn’t about gimmicks. Read: no cutting out sugar, carbohydrates, or fat. In the debut episode he reveals the secrets of naturally thin people, and it’s not what you think. His rules implore you to eat when you are hungry and to eat what you want, but, yes, with this caveat: to savor the food and to eat slowly. He does this amazing demonstration that showcases just how slowly to eat. See, the brain takes a longer time than the stomach to realize it’s full. Meaning, we overeat because we think we are hungry. Eating more slowly mitigates this problem and helps you lose weight.

The mantra McKenna lives by is that dieting will slow down your metabolism.

If you don’t believe us, the proof is in the pudding. McKenna has six million customers worldwide and his UK version of I Can Make You Thin, which aired last year, was the most-watched show in the history of Sky Television.

And since you asked about our take on why he has amassed such a cult following, it’s because McKenna really makes you realize that only you can make you thin.

He has very real and practical advice. If you've got "French Women Don't Get Fat" or "Chic & Thin" you'll get the basic idea. He teaches you habits that are VERY similar to the way the French eat. I'm beginning a new exercise program this week. You can read about it on http://www.champagneliving.net
