Kindle, meet the Daily Cents readers.
Daily Cents readers, meet Kindle, she's our new best friend and we love her! As avid visitors to Amazon.com, we have been seeing the promos for Kindle, the new wireless reading device from Amazon. While it piqued our interest, we figured we would wait until it actually came out before giving it our seal of approval. Well, it is now on the market, and we can't get that seal out quick enough! It goes without saying that many of our Daily Cents readers are busy women that are on the go from dawn to dusk, and Kindle's sleek physique is perfect for throwing in your purse, gym bag or briefcase (about the size of a regular paperback). And if you are out and about and realize that you must have the latest Michael Crichton blockbuster right at that moment, it is as simple as a cell phone call. Since the Kindle works just like a cell phone, you don't have to hunt down your nearest wi-fi spot to download new reading material. You simply hit the "Store" button, select the tome of your choice and within one minute, the complete book is downloaded onto your Kindle. |

If you are like the vast majority of the staff here at Daily Cents, the only time you think to water your plants is when they are so wilted they resemble a mop, and they seem to be looking at you saying “Hey, can you possibly throw that last drink of your bottled water on me before I wither away?”
Well, we have found a new favorite gadget (and apparently our plants like it too!): The Aqua Globe, a unique self-watering system that will virtually eliminate “dead plant guilt” from your life. You simply fill the hand-blown glass Aqua Globe up with water and insert it into the soil surrounding your plant. It doles out nourishment to plants only as they need it. So not only do they thrive, but you don’t have to worry about drowning the poor things to compensate for almost killing them. And the best part is that you only need to re-fill the Aqua Globe once every two weeks. Come on, even serial plant killers can handle that! |
