Is that lavender bridesmaid gown (you know, the one with the full skirt and rosettes at the waist) still hanging in your closet? How about the beige wool jacket with the coffee stain that won't come out? Jeans that are A) too small, B) too big (hey, we can hope) or C) hopelessly out of style? Why not set aside time during the upcoming three-day weekend to pare down.
Kirston Mann, our Fashion Cents writer and blogger, has some tips: - Completely empty your closet, grouping like with like (pants with pants, jackets with jackets, etc)
- Get rid of anything that doesn't fit correctly, is torn, stained or that you are not comfortable wearing
- Revisit the things that looked good in the store, but you have never worn. Chances are a visit to the tailor will salvage your purchase.
